When you think of what it takes to make a "great vacation", what do you think about?

For us, it is getting away from the stresses and hassles of every day life.  It's about taking a breath. Pausing and appreciating.  Relaxation. It is about those moments that you'll remember years from now.

But it is also about that perfect descent down Ridge into Rim.  It's about making it up Haul Road a few seconds faster. It's about introducing your friends to Sidewinder for the first time. It's about climbing Herbs, then descending Kitchel, then climbing Herbs, then descending Kitchel.  It's about making the most of your ride, and finishing your day exhausted and accomplished.

Then, it's about stopping at Cafe Lotti for an iced coffee and a sandwich mid-ride to refuel before heading back out. Grabbing a beer at The Orange Rind immediately after the ride - still kitted up, smelly and dirty from a job well done. 

It's about getting back to the cabin and taking a refreshing shower outdoors, then kicking back on the deck with some friends, enjoying the cool breeze. Putting on some music and talking about all the awesome trails you rode, want to ride again, or a new trail to explore tomorrow. Sitting by the firepit and taking it all in.

A great vacation in Burke is about enjoying all that the NorthEast Kingdom has to offer. Pushing yourself to get in just one more trail, but then rewarding that effort. Giving it your all, then relaxing and reflecting.

It is about enjoying NEK, and then chilling.
